Kita values your privacy. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our services, such as account information and usage data. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as required by law or to provide core functionality (e.g., authentication, cloud storage).

When a user starts a live-location share, Kita accesses their precise location and sends periodic updates to the selected contact. Background access is used only if the user opts in for that share. Location updates are end-to-end encrypted. The latest location remains visible in the conversation after sharing stops or expires; Kita does not continue accessing location outside an active share.

Data Deletion Procedure

1. To request deletion of your data, email support@kita.app from your registered account email.
2. We will verify your identity and confirm your request.
3. Upon confirmation, all personal data associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
4. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
